A Marathon Day

Today was one of the longest days we have had at the clinic. We left at 6:30 this morning for 7:45 labs. They took us back pretty quick and we were in a room by 9:00. Today James had to receive vincristine, an antibiotic, and immunoglobulins. So from 9:00 to 3:30 he was hooked up to an IV and had to stay in this little room. Aside from a few small meltdowns he did remarkably well. He never ceases to amaze me.

Last month when we went to the clinic they had increased his methotrexate. Today his ANC is 7400 so we got another increase. Please pray that James' body will respond well to the increase. On top of the increases he also began steroids today. We return to the clinic in a month where he will receive chemo and have a lumbar puncture.

James was very excited to get home ans see his sissy!

tpHey Joy,
I check your blog everyday. Your entire family never ceases to amaze me. James is such a trooper but that little apple didn't fall far from the tree. I look forward to getting to see you soon. Take care.
