An Explorer and an Animal Rescuer
I got their costumes in the other day and they have been so excited. Adrianne is a little less excited about the picture and she refused to wear her backpack. I also didn't even bother buying the wig because it would have been a waste of money!!! Anyway enjoy your Saturday..only 3 more doses of steroids to go!

A Day at the Clinic
Getting my cream on my button before I go to the clinic
At the clinic and getting my bracelet on with my name and medical record number
The pediatric outpatient clinic at MD Anderson
Playing in the playroom...my favorite place to be
Getting my weight
Getting my blood pressure taken
Nurse Sandy flushing my line
Getting hooked up to my IV chemo and antibiotic
Hanging out and getting my medicine
Out like a light...time for my lumbar puncture
In recovery
Today was quite a long day for James. Usually his procedure is one of the first things that happens but today it was almost 11am before they took him back. Keep in mind he has not had anything to eat or drink since 5pm the night before so he wasn't in the best mood. He even told his doctor "I am very sad, my friends(mom and nana) aren't listening to me." He kept telling us he was very very thirsty and very hungry and we kept having to put him off. But we made it and we are home and his belly is full. We started steroids so pray that he will get through them ok. Thanks for checking in.

Honored teammate
James was asked to be the honored teammate for this winter season with Team in Training. Right now TNT has begun training for the Houston half and full marathon...the same one I participated in last year. Needless to say I wont be putting on my running shoes this time but we are thrilled to get to be a part of this season. The picture above is from the kickoff and we have already attended one of their first group trainings on Saturday. We are very grateful for Leukemia Lymphoma Society and all the team in training participants who are helping raise money to find a cure for blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for the patients and patient's families.
You can join us in another Leukemia Lymphoma Society venue by signing up to be on our team for Light the Night. We hope you will come and participate with us!
