A Hard Day

That is what it has been today. I feel defeated in every way a mom can feel. For the last couple of days James hasn't been very happy. He has cried alot and been very clingy. It reminds me of a steroid week without the steroids. He has had a runny nose, a cough, and his right eye has been running. I don't know if it's allergies or if he is trying to get sick. I have taking his temperature what feels like a million times and he hasn't had anything close to a fever.

We head to clinic tomorrow so maybe they can make sense of what is going on. We continue to covet your prayers. This is a very long road and some days seem extra long. Thank you that we can use this means as a way of communicating how we feel. There are still some days it is hard for me to believe he has cancer.

I will update tomorrow after the clinic visit.

I'm so sorry your day was hard. I will be praying that the docs have some constructive things to say tomorrow.

Can't imagine the day to day exhaustion that you experience in this long process...love you guys and will pray in more specific ways for you...

I am so sorry...and I agree that the thought is often still shocking that my son has cancer. And, as Blake was good to remind me tonight, Gage still takes chemo every day...with or without the steroids...and to not be discouraged that some days are just harder. I am praying.

I've been reading your blog for about a month now...I found you through Stephanie. I sat and read your entire blog one night, and I just want you to know that you are an AMAZING mom! My heart just ached when I read how you felt after your hard day. I can't imagine what you are going through, but you are such an encouragement to me. I really pray for God to give you something to sing about even on those hard days so that your spirits will be lifted and you will see what a loving, devoted, caring, hardworking, self-sacrificing, and selfless mom (and wife) you are!
