A Great Cause

This year the Leukemia Lymphoma Society is hosting the "Light the Night" walk in the Woodlands. We are not going to be able to participate in the walk this year because of the stage of treatment James is in. My sister in law Steph got me connected to another mom whose son has ALL. Colin will finish his 3 year treatment this February. Colin's sister Maggie has put a website together to help raise money for the walk. I am including her link on here because this is the way we will be able to be involved this year and I wanted to give you the opportunity to be involved too.

Hi Ashley and anyone else interested! Here are some details about the walk. It is on Sunday, October 28 at Market Street. The map on the website shows Six Pines and Lake Woodlands.

5:30pm Festivities begin...live band, a spooktacular kids area that
will
include face painting, a photo area, and a paint a pumpkin area.

Strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons are all welcome. This is very much
a family oriented event so please bring the entire family.

Parking available at the mall, behind Grotto and anywhere else marked as Free Parking.

7:15pm Call to the Starting Line
7:30pm Walk begins

The Society is requesting a donation of at least $25 to help cover costs, but no amount is too small!! (This can either be made ahead of time online or by check at the event...checks payable to LLS)

Love, Steph

Light the Night is taking place here Thursday. Interestingly enough, it marks exactly one year from Joshua's diagnosis. I know it is a great cause, but I'm not sure if I can handle it emontionally. I certainly hope that it goes well and raises lots of money for research.
